The waterway of the Red River in Beirut, Lebanon turned red after a sewage pipe expelled an unidentifiable stream of effluvium into it, Wednesday, Feb. 15, 2012. Laboratory testing on river samples indicated that the source of the coloration of the was from dye wastes dumped by a factory.
